Bernita Louella Blasius, 82, of Deshler, Ohio died Sunday morning, November 15, 2009 at Blanchard Valley Regional Medical Center, Findlay, Ohio.

October 24, 1927-November 15, 2009Bernita Louella Blasius, 82, of Deshler, Ohio died Sunday morning, November 15, 2009 at Blanchard Valley Regional Medical Center, Findlay, Ohio.
She was born October 24, 1927 in Belmore, Ohio to the late Frank and Hazel (Hardwick) Beam. On March 26, 1948 she married Clayton "Jim" Blasius and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1978.
Bernita was a graduate of Deshler High School and worked as the housekeeping supervisor at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Deshler, for over 25 years. She was a member of Deshler United Methodist Church and served as secretary and was active with the Ladies Aide.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Phillips, Findlay; Karen Blasius, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; two sons, Marc (Tammy) Blasius, Alger, Michigan and Michael (Sue) Blasius, Findlay; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Moffit, Sarah Alice Hudson and Thelma Myles and four brothers, Donald, Ernie, Frank Jr., and Robert Beam.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with Pastor Tom Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 12 noon prior to the service in the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Deshler United Methodist Church.
