Mabel Jennings, 93, of McClure died Friday afternoon, Nov. 27, 2009 at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Mabel Marie Jennings, 93, of McClure, Ohio died Friday, November 27, 2009 at The University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born April 13, 1916 in McClure, Ohio to the late Earnest & Nellie (Francis) Meyers. On May 7, 1939, she married Paul Jennings in McClure, who preceded her in death on September 8, 1963.
Mabel was a homemaker, who helped her husband on the family farm. She also worked for Campbell Soup Co. in Napoleon and the McClure Bank from 1935-1941. She attended the McClure United Methodist Church and was a member of the McClure Senior Citizens and the McClure American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, JoAnn Miller of Bowling Green, Ohio, Jean (Larry) Ripke of Liberty Center, Ohio, Herb (Bervia) Jennings of McClure, Ohio, and Jerry (Linda) Jennings of Glendale, Arizona; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dean Jennings, and son-in-law Richard Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure. Interment will follow at the Olive Branch Cemetery outside of McClure.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure.
The family suggests memorials to Northcrest – Golden Living Center of Napoleon.
