Lelah E. Franz, 89, of Perrysburg, Ohio and formerly of Deshler, Ohio died Sunday evening, November 29, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio.

April 7, 1920-November 29, 2009Lelah Emily Franz, 89, of Perrysburg, Ohio and formerly of Deshler, Ohio died Sunday evening, November 29, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
She was born April 7, 1920 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee to the late Amos and Leona (Ogle) Owenby. On September 16, 1944 she married Robert A. Franz and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1995.
Lelah was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as a part-time bookkeeper at Yarnell Brothers, Deshler. She was a member of Deshler United Methodist Church and the Deshler Art League.
She is survived by four daughters, Pamela (Harold) Prindle, Perrysburg; Roberta Short, Perrysburg; Margaret Franz, Maumee, Ohio; Nancy (Tim) Gaul, Kato, New York; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and two sisters, Nelle Fulmer and Jacqueline Owenby, both of Ashville, North Carolina.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with Pastor Amy Haines officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 12-2 p.m. prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor's choice.
