Phyllis E. Damman, 76, of Napoleon died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, Ohio.
Phyllis E. Damman, 76, of Napoleon, Ohio was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. She was born October 25, 1933 in Deshler, Ohio to the late Edwin & Alta (Rabe) Meyer. On September 21, 1952, she married John Damman, who survives.
Phyllis was a homemaker, who worked part-time for the State of Ohio Unemployment Office for 10 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township. She was a member of the church choir and past member of the St. John's LWML. Her second love, after her family was to knit and crochet.
She is also survived by children, Dennis (Debra) Damman of Napoleon, Sharon (Ed) Hemenway of Whitewater, WI, Dale (Dorinda) Damman of Wauseon; grandchildren, Jason, Derek, and Jenna Damman, Nathan Ordway, and Chad Hemenway; great granddaughter, Natalie Ordway; brothers, Winfield (June) Meyer of Winterhaven, FL, Edwin (Jill) Meyer of Colorado Springs, CO; and sister, Glenadene (Paul) Burner of Deshler.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Twp. with Pastor Stephen Niermann officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon and on Monday 1 hr prior to the service at the church.
The family suggests memorials to the St. John Lutheran Memorial Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
