Norma L. Fisher, 84, of Napoleon passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 15, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.
Norma L. Fisher, 84, of Napoleon passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 15, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.
She was born October 31, 1925 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Mearl and Mabel (Kohli) Shelt. On September 21, 1946, she married George Fisher who preceded her in death on November 21, 1989, she then married William Johnson who also preceded her in death in July of 2006.
Norma was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Napoleon, a member of the Rosary Altar Society of the church and a DAV Auxillary Member. She loved working in her flower garden. She worked as an Avon Sales Representative for 30 years, retiring in 1992. Norma also worked seasonally at Campbell Soup Company as an inspector for several years. Her most treasured job was that of a homemaker, spending hours caring for her family and making room for others that needed her care.
She is survived by children, Steve (Linda) Fisher of Defiance, Richard (Elaine) Fisher of Napoleon, Mary Jane (Tom) Flowers of McClure, Brenda (Dave) Flory of Napoleon, and Kevin (Michelle) Fisher of Elmore, 13 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 5 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and a sister, Janien (Richard) Blakely of Toledo. She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy George Fisher on November 16, 1962, and sisters, Lois Tonjes and Lavonne Metzger.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 20, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 2-9 p.m. with scripture services at 8:30 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Augustine Catholic Church, or to a charity of the donor's cholce.
