Michael Douglas Walters, 59, of Hamler, Ohio died Saturday morning, January 23, 2010 at Golden Living Center-Northcrest, Napoleon, Ohio.

October 26, 1950-January 23, 2010Michael Douglas Walters, 59, of Hamler, Ohio died Saturday morning, January 23, 2010 at Golden Living Center-Northcrest, Napoleon, Ohio.
He was born October 26, 1950 in Warren, Ohio to the late Roger Walters and Mary Jane (Beatty) Riley. On August 8, 1970 he married Vicki Punches in West Leipsic, Ohio and she survives.
He was a 1968 graduate of Napoleon High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northwest State Community College in 1990 with a CAD Degree. Mike formerly worked at Deshler Products and as a CAD Draftsman at Cargo Tech and Swanton Welding.
He was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church, Hamler. He was a an advanced EMT and EMT Instructor with the Deshler and Hamler EMS. He served as mayor of Hamler in 1984 and formerly as a councilman. Mike enjoyed riding motorcycles, working with computers and spending time with his loved ones. He conducted himself with great dignity and always placed the needs of his loved ones first. Mike will be missed tremendously and remembered fondly by all those who knew him.
Mike is also survived by four daughters, Jennifer Walters, Hamler; Wendy (Kevin) Bostelman, Archbold, Ohio; Kelly (Ron) Neiling, Deshler, Ohio and Danielle Walters, Hamler, Ohio; four grandchildren, Marah, Mondesi, Max and Quinn; sister, Katharine (James) Bauer, Defiance, Ohio and brother, Tom Riley, Uniontown, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dalia Rose Neiling; and two step brothers, Lucky L. Riley and Aaron B. Riley, III.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Harvest Fellowship Church, Hamler with Pastor James Erven officiating. Interment will be in Marion Township Cemetery, Hamler and a luncheon will follow at the church.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and from 12 noon-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
Memorials may be directed to the Walters Family or a charity of the donor's choice.
