Jack W. Evearitt, 68, of McClure, OH died Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Wood County Hospital.
Jack W. Evearitt, 68, of McClure, OH died Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Wood County Hospital. He was born January 1, 1942 in Toledo to the late George & Vera (Clapper) Evearitt. On August 5, 1989 he married Terri Shepard in McClure, who survives.
Jack had worked for Johns Mansville and Campbell Soup Company, both of Napoleon and as a street commissioner for the Village of McClure. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War.
He was a member of the McClure American Legion and the Napoleon Eagles.
He is also survived by children, Bradley Wanless and Chad Evearitt, both of Napoleon, Ryan (Amy) Evearitt of Deshler, Jared Evearitt and Heather Evearitt, both of McClure; 4 grandchildren; brother, Richard (Arlene) Evearitt of Swanton; and sisters, Judy McCormick of Spencerville and Sharon (Joe) Wallace of Toledo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure. Interment will follow at Hockman Cemetery in McClure where military honors will be accorded by the McClure American Legion.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure.
The family suggests memorials to the McClure American Legion or a charity of the donor’s choice.
