Eva Reed, 90, of McClure died Friday, April 2, 2010 at The Golden Living Center-Northcrest in Napoleon, Ohio.
Eva Reed, 90, of McClure died Friday, April 2, 2010 at The Golden Living Center-Northcrest in Napoleon, Ohio. Born July 10, 1919 in Neapolis, OH to the late Earl & Chloe (Shonk) Biggins-Sharp. On March 30, 1938, she married Rollie Rhoads, who preceded her in death in 1984. Then she married Paul Reed on June 20, 1988, who preceded her in death in 2006.
Eva was a member of the former Grand Rapids Sportsman's Club, The F.O.E., Moose Lodge, Amvets and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by sons, Terry (Darlene) Rhoads of Bryan, David Milton (Neoma) Rhoads of McClure, Rollin "Skip" (Francis) Rhoads of Rudolph; daughters, Sally Heckerman of Deshler, Barbara (Bill) Burditt of McClure, and Betty (Bob) Wenner of Gallipolis; sister-in-law, Alice Sharp of Liberty Center; daughter-in-law, Connie Rhoads of Delta; 73 grandchildren, 68+ great grandchildren, 108+ great great grandchildren, and a great great great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her sons, Bill, Ward, and Howard; daughter, Lila; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne, Ray, and Roy Sharp, and Cloice Biggins; and sisters, Leona Sharp, Luella Mohler, and Bonnie Ward Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure. Interment will follow at the Hockman Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home.
The family suggest memorials to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or a charity of the donor's choice.
