Robert P. Leaders, 82, of Napoleon, OH died Friday evening at Perrysburg Nursing & Rehab Center.
Robert P. Leaders, 82, of rural Napoleon died Friday, April 2, 2010 at Perrysburg Nursing & Rehab Center. He was born in Henry County on March 26, 1928 to the late Peter & Anna (Keehn) Leaders. On October 18, 1953 he married Lois (Huber) Leaders at St. John UCC Church, Holgate, who preceded him in death on February 14, 2001.
Bob was a lifelong farmer, working on his family farm, Leaders Farms, Inc. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flatrock Twp. and Bert G. Taylor American Legion Post# 300 of Napoleon, and was a former member of the 759th Berlin US Military Association. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener; and will be remembered for his fields of sunflowers.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Leaders of Napoleon; sons, Jan (Linda) Leaders of Napoleon, and Mark Leaders of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jody (Jacob) Bernath, Sarah, Amy, and Laura Leaders.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles, John, Lawrence, and Raymond Leaders; and sisters, Vera Franz and Hazel Huddle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flatrock Twp. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon and on Wednesday 1hr prior to the service at the church.
The family suggests memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flatrock Twp. or the Alzheimer's Association.
