LeAnna E. Herr, 97, of Malinta, Ohio died Monday afternoon at her daughter's residence in Waterville, Ohio.
LeAnna E. Herr, 97, of Malinta, Ohio died Monday afternoon at her daughter's residence in Waterville, Ohio. She was born September 2, 1912 in Grand Rapids, Ohio to the late Ross & Pearl (Sautter) Soash. On March 6, 1935, she married Francis "Bud" Herr in Grand Rapids, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1968.
LeAnna was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of the Westhope Bible Church and it's Ladies Aide, and was a member of the Grange.
She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Herr of Malinta, Frances (Gary) Thomas of Waterville; grandchildren, Jeannette (Gene) Barney, LeAnna (Tony) DiFeterici, Martha (James) Schone, and Matthew Thomas; great grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Courtney, Kathryn, Taylor, Tia, Joseph, and Emma. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure. Interment will follow at Milton Twp. Cemetery in Custar.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday 1 hr prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family suggest's memorials to Gideon International or a charity of the donor's choice.
