Barbara Ann Saman, 74, of Napoleon, OH died Friday, May 21, 2010 at Community Health Professionals Impatient Hospice of Defiance.
Barbara Ann Saman, 74, of Napoleon, OH died Friday, May 21, 2010 at Community Health Professionals Impatient Hospice of Defiance. She was born April 13, 1936 in Napoleon to James A. & Mabel (Wagner) Walker. On May 28, 1955, she married H. Frank Saman at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon by Fr. Joseph Meyers.
She is survived by her mother, husband, and children, Mark (Becky) Saman of Defiance, Steve (Angie) Saman of Ayersville, Jim (Susanne) Saman of Ridgeville Corners, Tom (Emmely) Saman of Houston, TX, and daughter, Nancy Addington of Archbold, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. brother, Richard Walker, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James, brothers, Gary & David Walker.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and it's ushers group, the St. Vincent De Paul Society, and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She also belonged to the Napoleon American Legion Post #300, The Amvets #1313, The Moose Lodge #2094, and Local 211 UAW Retirees Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday from 9:00-9:30 a.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon. A scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Henry County Transportation, Community Health Professional Impatient Hospice Center, or Vancrest Nursing Home of Holgate.
