M. Charlene Young, 83, of Napoleon, Ohio, formerly of McClure, died Friday, May 21st, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio.

 

   M. "Charlene" Young, 83, of Napoleon, Ohio formerly of McClure, died peacefully at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio on May 21, 2010.  She was born on July 6, 1926 in Wells County, Indiana, to the late Charles and Molly (Reese) Inskeep.  On January 1, 1949, she married Warren "Bill" Young in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He survives in Napoleon.
  She was a homemaker and an employee of the former Temcole of McClure for 12 years, a cook at the former "Pee-Wee's and other various restaurants, a cafeteria cook in the McClure and Napoleon Elementary Schools and Campbell Soup Company.  She is a member of the McClure United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Circle, a Sunday School teacher and volunteered for church dinners, and other various committees in the church.  She assisted the Henry County Hospital as a Gray Lady for 5 years.  She loved to cook and bake and passed many of her favorite recipes on to her children and grandchildren.  Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother and spending time with her family
  She is survived by her husband, Bill, and children, Richard (Ronda) Young of Bowling Green, Ohio, Michael (Lonna) Young of Maumee, Ohio, Linda (Robert) Sheppard of Defiance, Ohio, Ted Young of Napoleon, Ohio, David (Sharon) Young of Maumee, Ohio, and Lisa (Jim) Gleason of Holland, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Emojean Brown of Montpelier, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Line, Virginia Lieurance and Dortha Rochon and brother, Bill Inskeep .
  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, at the United Methodist Church in McClure, officiating Pastor Boyd Shugert.  Interment will follow at the Hockman Cemetery in McClure, Ohio.
  Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
  The family suggests memorial donations be made to the McClure United Methodist Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
