William M. Lindhorst, 80, of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio died Friday evening, June 25, 2010 at Henry County Hospital, Napoleon, Ohio.
William M. Lindhorst, 80, of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio died Friday at the Henry County Hospital in Napoleon, Ohio. He was born February 23, 1930 in Ridgeville Corners to the late Martin and Laura (Huner) Lindhorst. On April 5, 1953 he married Erma Billow who survives in Ridgeville Corners.
William was in electrical sales having worked for Dyer-McDermott for many years, retiring in1992. He was a lifetime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners. He was a former council and congregation president and Sunday school superintendent. He was a former member of the Ridgeville Volunteer Fire Department, and during the 50's he managed Ridgeville Town Baseball Teams. He was a member of the U.S. Airforce serving during the Korean War and Commander of Local and Henry County American Legions.
He is survived by his wife, Erma of Ridgeville Corners, and children, Michael (Deb) Lindhorst of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Stephen Lindhorst of Stryker, Ohio; Thomas Lindhorst of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio; and Susan (Robert) Wisler of Bryan, Ohio; grandchildren, Scott Lindhorst, Laura (Kamel) Lindhorst Majri, Todd, Rachael and Matt Wisler.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Ridgeville Corners, on Wednesday, June 30 at 11:00 a.m.
Friends may call at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
