  Jo (Sperzel) Darling, 68, of Kent Lakes, NY died Sunday, June 27, 2010.
  She was born July 17, 1941 in Malinta to Friedrich and Ella (Parritt) Sperzel.  On December 21, 1968 she married Clark A. Darling and he survives.
  Jo was a 1959 graduate of Malinta-Grelton High School; graduate of the Patricia Stevens Modeling School, Toledo, Ohio and Statzenberger Business School, Toledo. 
  She worked for the Cash Quality Company and Campbell Soup Company, both of Napoleon,  the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York City; Boehring-Ingleheim Pharmaceutical Company, Danbury, CT and she was the owner of Grandma Jo’s Consignment Shop, Kent Lakes, NY.
  She was  a member of Kent Historical Society, Hamler Heritage Society, DAR-Elijah P. Gunn Chapter.  She enjoyed music, sewing, crafts, model airplane competitions and genealogy.  Jo was confident of God’s control of her life and suffering; remaining gracious and understanding.
  She is also survived by step-son, Daniel (Elizabeth) Darling; grandchildren, Matthew, Cassie and Kimberly Darling; brother, Walter (Joan) Sperzel, Bellevue, Nebraska; sisters, Sandra (Fred) Honemann, Hamler; Kathryn (Michael) Skaff, Toledo; three nephews, one niece; five great nieces and two great nephews.  
  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Darling.
  A  “Rembering Jo” memorial service will be Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Jo’s home church, Memorial United Methodist Church, Malinta, from 1-4 p.m.  Please join her family for light refreshments, as they wish to visit with all friends and family who wish to share remembrances of “our Jo”.
