Preplanning
Preplanning FAQ | Preplanning Information Form
During our lives, we plan for many situations: education, weddings, having a family, vacations and retirement. No doubt about it - planning ahead for important events is smart. Besides, it just feels good knowing the details are taken care of in advance.
- Preplanning for one's funeral arrangements provides peace of mind for everyone involved. A carefully preplanned service can be the most comforting to your family, as it spares them from having to face decisions that can be both emotionally and financially difficult at the time of death. It can give them lasting peace of mind to know that they have acted in accordance with your wishes.
- Although not required when making pre-arrangements, most people choose to set aside funds that will cover their future funeral home expenses. We offer a variety of prepayment programs that allow you to control cost, avoid emotional overspending, and guarantee that the items pre-arranged will be provided whenever in the future at no additional cost to the family.
- We also accept assignment of existing life insurance policies, which will not freeze the cost of the funeral, but allow you to apply for medicaid without losing the total benefit of the policy. We simply are assigned as owners of the policy with you being the benefactor of policy to collect on any funds left over after the cost of the funeral.
- All of our pre-arrangements are irrevocable after 30 days, but are transferable to any other funeral home you may desire. Most pre-need funerals are set up on this type of portability to assist the owner if their should be a change of address or if the prior funeral home would happen to close or sell to another company. This ensures you with the utmost security with your money
- We do accept all pre-arranged funerals from existing funeral homes at no additional cost to provide you with the best facilities and the personal attention you deserve.
- At Rodenberger Funeral Home, we make ourselves available at your convenience, to discuss the options of pre-planning and pre-payment. One of our pre-need funeral directors will be happy to come to your home, or visit with you at one of our facilities.
