Our Staff

The Rodenberger Funeral Home has been owned and operated by the Rodenberger family since 1958. Over the years, C.C. “Bud” Rodenberger and his wife, Evelyn have gathered around them a staff of caring, compassionate funeral professionals, dedicated to serving local families in their time of need.

Jerrie Rodenberger Gray

Jerrie strongly believes in giving back to the community that has made her the woman she is today. Although most of her time is spent with the family business, she is dedicated to her community. She is on the CASA Symphony of the Tree's board, National Funeral Director Association and the Ohio Funeral Director Association. She graduated from Napoleon High School and Findlay College . She is married to Kenny Gray, who retired from at GM Powertrain in Defiance . Together they have two children, Brent and Brooke. Brooke is involved in the current operation of the funeral homes, and Brent works for a construction company out of Toledo. She spends most of her free time with her three grandsons and family.

Jerrie takes great pride in the fact all three funeral homes continue to carry on a great tradition of service while maintaining independent ownership. With a tremendous support staff, the Rodenberger Funeral Home is able to provide services unmatched by any others.

Brooke Gray
Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Brooke began working with his mother in 1995, and became a licensed Funeral Director in 1999. He has lived in Henry County all his life, graduating from Napoleon High School and receiving his degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1998. Active in the community and in his profession, Brooke is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Funeral Director's Association, and the National Embalmer's Association. He was a former member of the Rotary Club of Napoleon and the Henry County United Way . Brooke has been involved in the funeral business since he was in college, when he worked with his mother, Jerrie, part-time. It was during this time that he became interested in the business as a possible career for himself. As he continued to work he realized that working with families and ministering to people in need was very rewarding for him personally and he has been here ever since. He considers working with the people of Henry County to be a family tradition, and one he is proud to continue…and looks forward to many generations of his family serving this community. Brooke was married in April '06 to Cathy, who is a Science teacher at Holgate Local Schools, and they reside in McClure, Ohio with there children, Jaxson and Lilah.

Mark Feehan

Mark Feehan is a native of Custar, Ohio and a 1992 graduate of Bowling Green High School.  He attended the Bowling Green State University and graduated Cum Laude from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1995 with an Associate Degree in Applied Science and a Bachelor Degree of Mortuary Science.  At graduation he received the Ohio Embalmers Association Lester W. Wakeham Award for demonstrated excellence in the combined theory and practice of embalming.  While in college, Mark served as a class representative and also obtained his Ohio Insurance license to serve families with pre-arranged funeral plans.

In 1997 he joined the Rodenberger Funeral Home as a licensed funeral director and embalmer.  He is a member of the Ohio Embalmers Association; Ohio Funeral Directors Association; National Funeral Directors Association; member and past president of the Deshler Chamber of Commerce; past member of the Henry County Relay for Life Committee; past Board Member of the Henry County United Way and a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar, Ohio.  His hobbies include playing golf and staying in touch with his family and friends.

Mark has worked in funeral service since he was 16 years old and has always felt the most important thing is to serve families as if they were your own.  The friendships he has made has been the biggest rewards.  He feels very fortunate to be able to serve so many families and knows Rodenberger Funeral Home will continue to strive to earn the opportunity to serve them in the future. Mark and his wife Raechel, live in Deshler, Ohio with their three children, Clayton, Faith and Whitney.

t Rev. Ron Claussen (In Memoriam)

Reverend Ronald Claussen, 74, of Defiance, Ohio died peacefully Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.  He was born July 19, 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Erwin J.D. and Sylvia (Anderson) Claussen. On June 25, 1961 he married Jane (Marten) Claussen in Muscatine, Iowa.
  Ron graduated with a Speech/Radio TV degree from the University of Omaha and a Divinity Degree from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque , Iowa. He served his internship at Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine, Iowa from 1960-1961 and was Ordained into the ministry of the American Lutheran Church on July 1, 1962.  Ron served at Nazareth Lutheran, Chatfield, Ohio from 1962-1967, Montclair Lutheran, Denver, Colorado from 1967-1975, and Bethlehem and St. Mark's Lutheran Congregations, Defiance , Ohio  from 1975-1985; and he continued to serve as a pulpit supply minister to the surrounding area churches. From 1985 to 2001, Ron was the Director of Development and Public Relations at the Filling Memorial Home of Mercy, Napoleon, Ohio and hosted weekly Radio Programs for Filling on WNDH, Napoleon, WONW, Defiance. and WBCO, Bucyrus. For the past 13 years, Ron was a Clergyman and greeter for Rodenberger Funeral Home, Inc.
  He is survived by a wife, Jane; children, Marty (Karen) Claussen of Derry, New Hampshire, Kelley (Nick) Waisner of Napoleon, Patrik Claussen of Athens, Illinois, and Nicolas Claussen of Athens, Ohio, grandchildren; Samantha, Amanda, and Adam Claussen; Ben Claussen; and Perri and Sarah Waisner; and a sister, Connie Claussen of Omaha, Nebraska.
  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon with Pastor Buchsteiner officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Adams Ridge Road.
  Friends may call on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon.
  The family suggests memorials be made to the Filling Memorial Home of Mercy of Napoleon.


 

Ruth Ann Gray
Greeter

Ruth Ann (Schuette) Gray is more than a Greeter, she is family!  Ruth Ann was married to Charles "Chuck"  Gray, who died on May 30, 2000. Chuck was a one of eleven Gray boy's and is a brother to Ken.  Ruth Ann worked for 21 years in the Farm Service Agency in Napoleon, retiring in 1998. She has three boys, Tom (Charlene), Jerry, and Tim; and 2 grandson's, Chad & Jacob.  She is a member of Emanuel  Lutheran Church in Napoleon and is the Treasurer for Fulton-Henry NARFE. Ruth Ann can always be found at the front door with a smile on her face!
